SALVATORE PLATA HERITAGE

Salvatore Plata has inherited 60 years of jewellery expertise. In the 1950s, the father of Salvador Pellicer, Salvatore Plata’s founder, was a jewellery seller in the city of Valencia. The young Salvador and his wife opened their own jeweller’s store and tapped into the need for steering fine jewellery away from the standard gold and sparkles dictated by the fashion at the time towards pieces designed imaginatively in silver. For Salvador Pellicer, Italy, the birthplace of design, was the inspiration behind his decision to establish the leading brand in fine jewellery crafted in sterling silver on Spanish soil.3

Together with his eldest son, Salva Pellicer Rojo began to create astonishing collections that revolutionised the jewellery sector in the 1990s. Salvatore Plata quickly grew and its collections were a fixture at the most important jewellery fairs across Spain.

Salva Pellicer junior consolidated the market in Spain and embarked on the firm’s international journey. The family’s youngest son, Javier Pellicer, has been responsible for the constant evolution of the jewellery designs and breaking from the old in terms of colours and shapes.

Salvatore Plata is now an extensive team of people who love what they do. The brand heads up the sector for the wholesale of sterling silver fine jewellery. It is the Spanish leader in fine silver jewellery, with more than 2,000 Spanish jewellers and clients active in more than 40 countries.
